Who we are
Kid Investor is a family financial-literacy app. Parents create and control every account. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how families can manage their data.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
Kid Investor is designed for use by children only under a parent-controlled account. In line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):
- The parent is the verified account holder. Only the parent creates the account, provides an email, and agrees to these terms.
- From a child, we collect only a first name and an avatar the parent selects.
- We do not collect a child's last name, email, phone number, address, photo, precise location, or contacts. Birth year is entered by the parent to suggest an age-appropriate mode.
- We do not permit children to publicly post, chat with strangers, or share personal information in the app.
- Parents may review, edit, or delete their child's profile at any time from the parent dashboard.
What we collect from parents
- Email address (for sign-in and milestone notifications).
- Authentication data managed by our backend provider.
- Basic usage data (page views, error logs) to keep the app working.
What we do not do
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not show third-party advertising to children.
- We do not move real money. All portfolios are virtual play money.
- We do not provide financial advice.
